If you own a new Airstream Trade Wind, this Galley Sink Cover and Prep Board is a "must-have" to punch-up your interior decor.
Along with a new interior and sophisticated color palette, the 2024 Trade Winds feature a modern 18" x 18" galley sink.* Our covers have been specifically designed to fit these premium square stainless steel sinks, and they're the perfect Airstream accessory.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Since Airstream has just recently announced the new Trade Wind model, limited galley sink details are available online. We are in the process of confirming the exact dimensions, and they will be finalized before shipping your cover.
As Airstream owners ourselves, we know that every bit of galley food prep and counter space is EXTREMELY VALUABLE. Here's a beautiful and convenient way you can expand your work space by up to 324 square inches.
These hardwood covers are much more beautiful, sanitary and knife-friendly than the covers provided with your Airstream.
Unlike some other Trade Wind Sink Covers, ours are made one-at-a-time so every cover gets the very best attention to detail.
Choose from two sink cover styles:
• 3/4 sink coverage, L-shape
• Full sink coverage
The 3/4 coverage style allows use of the faucet and scraping food scraps into the open area of the bowl.
Your unique handcrafted sink cover will feature solid, premium black walnut with a thin strip of light maple for striking contrast. Domestic walnut features beautiful grain, and color ranges from tan to dark/chocolate brown.
Please note these items are made to order. Current lead time is 3-4 weeks.
The cover rests on the sink's flange, and soft rubber feet, fastened with stainless steel screws, locate the cover inside the sink bowl. The feet also protect your countertop or table when the cover is used on its own as a charcuterie or serving tray.
Cover is approx. 18" x 18" x 5/8" to 3/4" thick.
We've eased the edges slightly for comfort but maintained a minimalist, blocky look to coordinate with the new small-corner-radius sinks.
Since variations in color and grain are part of the natural beauty of wood, your sink cover will be truly one-of-a-kind. Knots, cracks, spaltings (unusual wood colorations) and swirls may be present and just add to the handcrafted feel. Finished with a hand-rubbed, food-safe mineral oil and beeswax mixture. Just wipe off with soapy water, rinse and dry. Not for use in dishwashers. Care instructions are included.

Note: Do not leave wood sink covers installed on the sink for long periods of time, as the moisture from the sink drain and lack of airflow may cause them to warp or mold/mildew to grow underneath.
